APPOINTMENTS

Iluka Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. Patients who hold a valid pension card, health care card and all children under 16 years of age will still be bulk billed Monday through to Friday only.

All other patients and patients with no Medicare card will be privately charged as below.

The Following Fee will apply from 1st August 2023.

The increase is required so that Iluka Medical Centre can continue to provide you and your family with high quality healthcare whilst also covering the ever-increasing cost of running a practice.

Private billing applies to the following groups / appointments:

  • All weekend / public holidays
  • All GP urgent care appointments for all patients
  • Medical procedures for all patients

We will continue to Bulk Bill STANDARD consultations for the following patients (Monday to Thursday 8am to 6pm and Friday 8am to 5pm) Exclusions as above.

  • Health Care Card holders
  • Pension Concession Card holders
  • DVA Card holders
  • Children under the age of 16
  • Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments (often called GP Management Plan, Team Care Arrangements or Care Plan)
  • Closing the Gap Registered Patients with a Healthcare card
  • COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccinations
  • Regular Ongoing Dressings (after the initial consultation)
  • Regular ongoing cryotherapy or desensitisation injections after the initial consult

Please note a discounted out-of-pocket expense will apply for surgical and treatment room procedures for the above concessional groups such as suturing, biopsies, excisions, iron infusions, etc.

Private fees for the services which cannot be billed to Medicare:

  • Insurance Medical
  • Commercial drive medical
  • Renewal of Cancelled Driving Licence
